What is a 24:7 Tobacco-Free School?
24:7 Tobacco-Free School (TFS) policy prohibits tobacco use by staff, students and visitors twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, inside Board-owned buildings or vehicles, on school owned property, and during school-related student trips.
24:7 TFS protect children from the harmful effects of tobacco at school. The benefits of a tobacco-free environment and positive role models for students are important, but there are many other reasons that a 24:7 TFS policy benefits the entire school community.
